Live 8

Live 8 is a series of concerts being staged around the world (and right here in Philadelphia) on July 2, 2005 to bring global awareness of the need for African debt relief and increased aid to African countries for basic necessities as food, water and medicines. The concert is almost 20 years later to the day of Live Aid, a fund-raising effort to help the starving in sub-Saharan Africa.
