Live Aid

In 1985, Philadelphia & London each staged day-long concerts known as Live Aid to raise funds for the millions of people starving in sub-Sahara Africa. Philadelphia's event drew 100,000 fans to John F. Kennedy Stadium on a sweltering summer day in July.
