Nan Sninsky, chairman of First Thursdays in downtown Washington, helps to unveil a rendering of a reading bench and red maple tree that will sit near the farmersÕ market entrance to honor market volunteer Steve Dettinger. The market is held beside the Rotary Club Patriots Pavilion, across South Main Street from the Observer-Reporter. The plans were unveiled Thursday afternoon before the last farmersÕ market of the season was held. Dettinger did not attend because he was diagnosed with cancer last month.
